A concert is to take place in Godollo Palace -- the main venue of the Hungarian EU presidency events -- to raise money for a kindergarten to be built in the tsunami-hit area in Japan.

The concert of the Godollo Symphony Orchestra on 27 May will feature artists from Hungary and Japan, and is set to be attended by Hungarian first lady Katalin Makray Schmitt and Japanese ambassador to Hungary, Tetsuo Ito, the spokesman of Godollo council told MTI on Tuesday.

The program will include pieces by Franz Liszt, performed by Japanese musicians Yuka Iwasaki and Soko Matsuyama. Hungarian harp player Andrea Vigh, opera singer Anna Herczenik, pianist Alex Szilasi and violinist Zoltan Maga will also contribute to the evening. Tickets are on sale at www.muza.hu and www.kiralyikastely.hu.
