Ezt a számot a prózai előadások közül egyedül a The Inheritance tudta megközelíteni tizenegy jelöléssel. Úgy tűnik, hogy az idei megmérettetés a végletek versenye lesz, mert bár idén a járványhelyzet miatt kevesebb előadás közül válogathatott a bizottság, mégis érdekesség, hogy
a Legjobb musicalszínész kategóriában Aaron Tveit egyedüli jelöltként szerepel.
Helyet kaptak azonban érdekes színpadi megoldások és olyan témák is, amik megosztják a közvéleményt. A The Inheritance például meleg férfiak három generációján keresztül mutatja be a közösségé formálódást és családalapítást, a Betrayal egy szerelmi háromszög és a megcsalás drámája, míg a Slave Play a rasszizmus és a rabszolgaság kérdésével foglalkozik.
Arról egyelőre nincs hír, hogy a díjátadó mikor és milyen formában valósulhat meg, annyi azonban bizonyos, hogy a jövő évi jelöltállításkor is nehéz dolguk lesz a The Broadway League tagjainak, ugyanis a Broadway legalább 2021 júliusáig zárva van.
